What is Nandrolone?

Nandrolone, also known as 19-nortestosterone or nandrolone deca, is an anabolic steroid derived from testosterone. It can be produced in small quantities in the human body after intense or prolonged physical activity.

The synthetic version of nandrolone was developed in 1950, but it wasn’t available for sale until 1962. It was introduced as decanoate under the trade name Deca-Durabolin by the Organon Company. Initially, it was prescribed for treating postoperative muscle mass loss, osteoporosis, breast cancer, malnutrition, burns, and certain types of anemia.
